Pride 2025

We are all loved by God and St. Paul’s welcomes all with Pride. Together, let's make this year's Pride celebration the best one yet!

Join Us in Planning Our Pride Round Table and Parade!
Are you passionate about equality, diversity, and inclusion? Do you want to contribute to creating memorable events that celebrate love and acceptance? We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to join our planning team for this year’s Pride Round Table and Parade!

Our Pride Round Table and Parade is a vibrant celebration of LGBTQIA2S+ pride, unity, and visibility in our community. We’re committed to providing a sacred, safe, welcoming space where everyone can come together to celebrate and affirm love and the sacredness of who we are created to be.

Pride Round Table: Sunday, June 8

9:45–10:45 am | Fondren Hall

“The Open Table: Stories of Pride, Love, and Belonging,” a heartfelt gathering hosted by the Ordinary Life class at St. Paul’s UMC.

This event will feature meaningful reflections from LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, families, and allies who have experienced and shaped the journey of inclusion within our church. Moderated by Rev. Dr. Jeff McDonald, we’ll share stories of what it means to belong, to be loved, and to live out our faith with courage and compassion. From pastors who have offered unwavering support, to families who have grown in love and understanding, to long-time members who have walked alongside LGBTQIA2S+ loved ones—these voices remind us of the grace found when we make space for one another at the table. As United Methodists, the table is a sacred symbol of welcome and unity. Come with open hearts and open minds as we listen, learn, and celebrate the beautiful diversity of God’s beloved community. All of us are welcome at the table—just as we are. Cookies, pastries, coffee, etc., will be offered.

Pride Parade: Saturday, June 28

5:30–9 pm | Downtown houston

We are excited to announce we will have a float in the parade this year and our team is already working on decorating it! The parade route is approximately 1.5 miles and we invite all St. Paul’s members and friends to meet at the St. Paul’s float at 5:30 pm along Allen Parkway (exact location will be sent out to you via email). We encourage everyone to find their own transportation to and from the parade, if at all possible (train/carpool with a friend/ride share service). However, if you would like to meet at the church at 4:45 pm, we will have one St. Paul’s bus do a drop-off at the parade site.

At the parade, our Pride team will have water, sunscreen and a few snacks, but we invite you to eat before you arrive. Parade participants will need to be able to walk the entire route.

To sign-up, or if you have any questions, email Rev. Nataly Negrete at nataly@stpaulshouston.org
