9:45–10:45 AM | FONDREN HALL
“The Open Table: Stories of Pride, Love, and Belonging,” a heartfelt gathering hosted by the Ordinary Life class at St. Paul’s UMC.
This event will feature meaningful reflections from LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies who have experienced and shaped the journey of inclusion within our church. Moderated by Rev. Dr. Jeff McDonald, we’ll share stories of what it means to belong, to be loved, and to live out our faith with courage and compassion. From pastors who have offered unwavering support, to families who have grown in love and understanding, to long-time members who have walked alongside LGBTQIA2S+ loved ones—these voices remind us of the grace found when we make space for one another at the table. As United Methodists, the table is a sacred symbol of welcome and unity. Come with open hearts and open minds as we listen, learn, and celebrate the beautiful diversity of God’s beloved community. All of us are welcome at the table—just as we are. Cookies, pastries, coffee, etc will be offered.
