Casey Kelly
At the October 1 meeting of St. Paul’s Ordinary Women, Casey Kelly will share the second part of her “Adventures in Theatre and Film,” this time focusing on her life in film.
The brown-bag lunch gathering meets from noon to 1:30pm in J-204. An offshoot of the Ordinary Life Sunday School class, Ordinary Women is open to all women interested in the topic.
Last January she focused on her life in the theatre, including tales of sharing a paddy wagon with Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon and hiding from Paul Newman while standing in for Mia Farrow. Her stories proved to be so popular that links to some of her work were provided to the group afterwards.
At the upcoming gathering, her tales are bound to be as entertaining, if not more so.
A 50-year veteran writer, Kelly is a member of Ordinary Women as well as The Dramatists Guild, the Screenwriters Guild, ASCAP, and AFI.
Ordinary Women also works with the food pantry at Trinity East UMC and other missions. For more information about the group of this month’s program, please contact Rev. Barbara Robberson via barbrobberson@gmail.com
