Primetimers is an activity-based group for senior adults who are interested in lifelong learning.

Location for programs: Usually Fondren Hall, 2nd floor of the Jones Building; occasionally the Sanctuary; Activity Center, 2nd floor of the Sanctuary Building; or Youth Center, 1st floor of the Sanctuary Building
Dates: Usually 2nd Thursdays, February-June and August-December, 11am-noon

Program Meetings. Programs are presented on cultural, historical, social issues, and local topics of interest, featuring noted experts in these areas. The gathering usually begins in Fondren Hall with registration and informal gathering at 10:30am followed by the program at 11, and a $10 lunch at noon for those who RSVP to primetimers@stpaulshouston.org two days prior. The programs are free of charge, and anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of church membership or age.
Day Trips. A variety of day trips to interesting places in the greater Houston area is offered periodically. Each has its own timeframe and travel logistics.

August 13. Ice Cream and a Movie: Agatha Chrsitie’s Death on the Nile. 2pm in the Youth Center. No RSVP required.
September 10. Tour Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern’s current art installation: Echos in Light: Experience Undercurrents followed by lunch in POSTHouston’s food court. Board bus from church at 11am. RSVP by September 4 via primetimers@stpaulshouston.org and prepay $15 here.
October 8: Adventures with John Wesley. St. Paul’s Director of Hospitality & Membership and a Perkins School of Theology student Laura Althaus shares highlights of and perspectives gleaned from her recent visit to the Birthplace of Methodism.
November 12. Day Trip to the San Jacinto Monument with lunch at the Monument Inn.
December 10. The inimitable Rob Landes entertains with Sounds of the Season. Bring socks for EAC clients.
