Time: 9 am - Noon (Monday-Friday)
Location: Jones Building
UPDATE: Now accepting ages 5-12 for Music Camp!
REGISTER HERE. “Pipe Up and Sing!” music camp will be offered 9 am - noon the week of June 20-24. This music camp for children ages 5-12 features singing and learning about music and pipe instruments (and any instruments remotely tubular!), with movement and engineering activities. The camp includes crafts and snacks. Campers will assemble a fully-functional small organ. We will have instrument demonstrations (flute, piccolo, oboe, bagpipes, French horn, rain stick, and more) and the campers will get a close look at the St. Paul’s organ. Camp is going to be “totally tubular” as we explore pipes, bellows, levers, and sound. Older children are welcome to attend as camp counselors/helpers.
Adult and youth volunteers are welcome - no musical experience required! People who play a “tubular” instrument (trumpet, tuba, clarinet, Alpenhorn, bagpipes, saxophone, French horn, trombone, etc.) are invited to come and play the instrument for the campers (can be as short as a 15 minute commitment one day of camp).
Camp fee is $100 for in-person campers; $55 for campers attending online. Sibling discounts and scholarships are available upon request. Childcare is available for volunteers with children too young to attend camp.
