Sewing Bee is a joint project with the American Sewing Guild, St. Paul's UMC, SEARCH, Council of Congregations & the EAC to make simple fleece mittens and hats for SEARCH & EAC clients. Sewists are invited to set up their own sewing machines in Fondren Hall on October 8 between 10 am & 3 pm. There will be two shifts: 10 am - noon & 1-3 pm. You are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch and stay all day! Refrigerators and drinks are provided.
There will also be tasks for non-sewists, such as cutting fleece and setting up for those who are sewing. Beginner sewists are also welcome and can learn under American Sewing Guild guidance. Donations of fleece and yarn are much needed and appreciated.
