Echos in Light: Experience Undercurents, art installation by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer in the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern
Catch the St. Paul’s bus at 11am Thursday, September 10, to celebrate 100 years of the Buffalo Bayou Park (BBP) Cistern with a Primetimers tour on Thursday, September 10.
The current interactive art installation — Echoes in Light: Experience Undercurrents by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer — is an immersive experience that transforms the Cistern into an echoing chamber of sound, illumination, and memory, to reveal how communication travels across time, space, and human relationships.
The art invites visitors to speak, listen, and reflect as voices are carried through a glowing network of light, creating a living, ever-changing environment shaped by those who enter.
Self-Pay Lunch at POSTHouston
After the tour, the bus will take the group to lunch at POSTHouston where each person may select from a variety of food court options. Preview here. While at POSTHouston, check out the unique Skylawn, too.
