The internationally acclaimed Formosa Quartet, praised by critics for performances that are “spellbinding” and “exquisitely balanced,” appears in a special guest performance during their Texas Music Festival residency.
The program features jazz legend and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Wynton Marsalis’s At the Octoroon Balls, a vibrant and rhythmically electrifying work inspired by the dance traditions and cultural crossroads of nineteenth-century New Orleans. The evening also celebrates the extraordinary artistry and collaborative spirit that have made the Formosa Quartet one of today’s most admired chamber ensembles.
