Ordinary Women: Woman, the Spirit of the Universe

At the April 2 meeting of St. Paul’s Ordinary Women, Carolyn Marks Johnson will talk about and show the bronze women’s collars that she created to represent the struggles to establish women’s rights. The collars have been exhibited at the Holocaust Museum Houston, the Heritage Society Museum., the University of Mary Washington, and more.

 Johnson is an artist, attorney, and former judge as well as a St. Paul’s member and the mother of Ann Johnson, who represents the134th District in the Texas House of Representatives, and Jennifer West, who has been a St. Paul’s Youth Director. 

The brown-bag lunch gathering meets from noon to 1:30pm in J-204. An offshoot of the Ordinary Life Sunday School class, Ordinary Women is open to all women interested in the topic.
