Primetimers: Ship Channel Tour on M/V Sam Houston

  • St. Paul's United Methodist Church 5501 Main St Houston, TX 77004 USA (map)

On March 10 St. Paul’s Primetimers will journey into the Houston Ship Channel on the M/V Sam Houston.

The group will leave from the church in a St. Paul’s bus at 9am and will eat lunch after the tour at Huynh, a Vietnamese restaurant. The boat trip is free of charge, but an RSVP by Thursday, March 5, to Primetimers@stpaulshouston.org is required.

To ride the boat, bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Backpacks, over-sized purses, and other large bags are prohibited aboard the vessel, and passengers’ perosnal belongings may be subject ot searched in accordance with federal regulations.

A family-run Vietnamese restaurant at 912 St. Emanuel in EaDo, Huynh has won many “Best Of” accolades over the years. However, they can’t do individual checks but can take the total for the group, divide it evenly, and each person pays the same amount. Preview their lunch menu here.

This March Day Trip will be on Tuesday, March 10, rather than the usual second Thursday meeting date so those wishing to do so may attend the March 12 Lenten Recital by the Houston Brass Quintet.
