A special service of music, scripture and prayers. Music will be sung by St. Paul’s Choir, and including compositions by Charles Wood and Basil Harwood, and selections from Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem. The liturgy for Choral Evensong has been used since the early days of the Reformation and is itself based on monastic services from the millennium before that. This Evensong service will include the tolling of the chimes and prayers for those we love but see no longer. For more details, contact Chris via cbetts@stpaulshouston.org.
Following Evensong, all are invited to the Labyrinth for the rededication of the 125 year old St. Paul's carillon and a light reception hosted by the St. Paul's Foundation.
Free and open to the public.
