Come and learn about Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) as we explore the practice of remembering and honoring loved ones and the elements marked by Mayan, Aztec and Incan influences. We will discuss the importance of colors, scents, foods, and storytelling that invoke the memories of loved ones as we take part in the heartfelt and ancient practice of decorating the St. Paul’s family ofrenda (altar). Young children will also learn about this cultural practice through stories and song and will create art they can use to contribute to the altar or take home.
