Pianist James Palmer is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. He has been a prizewinner and finalist in numerous competitions, including the International Young Artists Piano Competition in Washington, D.C., the Seattle International Piano Competition, and the Prix Orford Musique in Québec. His performing career has taken him all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. His Lenten recital will feature beautiful music by Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31 in A flat.
