Welcome to the final episode of this 2019 Lenten podcast series.

Today, we finish a conversation between St. Paul’s senior pastor Rev. Tommy Williams and Rev. Neil Willard, rector of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church here in Houston. Rev. Willard offers us some resources in this episode, ways we can pray when just can’t find the words. He especially appreciates turning to the Psalms and even hymn texts as expressions of prayer.

Rev. Neil Willard

Welcome back to St. Paul’s 2019 Lenten podcast. We hope you’re enjoying these weekly episodes about prayer and pilgrimage.

Today, Rev. Tommy Williams, senior pastor of St. Paul’s UMC, sits down with fellow Houston minister, the Rev. Neil Willard. Rev. Willard has served for the past five years as rector of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. In this conversation, we’ll hear how Rev. Willard gravitates to simplicity when it comes to prayer. He insists we shouldn’t compare ourselves to those who seem to be “prayer experts.”

As a spiritual practice this week, you might come walk St. Paul’s outdoor labyrinth, which is often called a path of prayer. Guided walks are available every Wednesday evening at 6:15 now through April 17.
