Young Adult Ministries
Welcome to the young adult ministries of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Whether you are in college, recently graduated, working, single or married, St. Paul's has a variety of activities available for the young adults of our community.
Newest Young Couples Class
Rev Jeremy Wester leads a new Sunday School class specifically geared toward couples in their 20’s and 30’s. It meets in the Activity Center (S-213) at 9:45 a.m.
Beginning June 12 until the Jones Building re-opens after renovatoin, the Young Couples Class will meet with the Crosswalk Young Adult Class in S-105.
Young Adult Sunday School Class -- Crosswalk
Crosswalk Young Adult Sunday school class is for anyone looking for a faith community to connect with others in faith-centered
friendships. We meet Sundays at 9:45 in Abraham Station (across from the Sanctuary on Fannin). Our class time is spent actively engaging in Christian dialogue, bible studies, current event discussions or our in-class service projects for the Emergency Aid Coalition. Socially, Crosswalk is an active group with seasonal parties, weekday dinners, and gatherings in the park for concerts or just playing Frisbee.
Check your worship bulletin for upcoming Crosswalk events and our restaurant of the month (usualy the second Sunday of the month). For more information contact Kim Mabry.
Until the Jones Building re-opens after renovation, Crosswalk will meet in S-105 along with the Young Couples Class.
College Ministry
St. Paul's College Ministry works with the undergraduate students in our community. We primarily serve students at Rice University and are working to bring together all college students for fellowship and community. Most students are currently home enjoying their Summer vacations but we will start back up in the Fall with lots of activities and fun. Activities this past Spring semester included bible study, book discussions, weekly Taize services and a Spring Break Mission trip.
Rev. Emily Chapman is in charge of College Ministry at Rice. For more information, please contact Rev. Chapman.
