Nursery and Childcare for St. Paul's Activities
Welcome to the nurseries and childcare at St. Paul's! We are pleased to provide children of all ages, stages and abilities with safe, nurturing care on Sunday mornings and throughout the week for church activites.
Childcare reservations are not required on Sunday mornings. For other events, reservations should be made at least five business days in advance. Please fill out the following form and we will contact you confiming your reservation.
Sunday Mornings
Nursery care is provided throughout the morning while adults attend worship and Sunday School. No reservations are needed. The time spent in the church nursery is an important step in your child’s development. Infants learn to trust adults outside their own family and begin to associate love and nurture with their church - a prelude to experiencing God’s love. During the morning, a Bible picture card will be shared and sent home with your child for you to use during the week.
- Nurseries are located in the Jones Building on the 1st floor. The classrooms are shared with St. Paul’s School, and meet the new rigorous standards for accreditation by NAEYC. Our rooms are safe, clean and stocked with age-appropriate materials for your child’s enjoyment. When the weather permits, we also spend time on the attached playgrounds for toddlers and older children.
- Our professional childcare staff members, coordinated by Jeanette Gradney, receive annual infant/child safety, first aid and CPR training and have completed Safe Sanctuary training and background checks. They have many years of experience providing love and nurture for St. Paul’s children.
- On arrival, please sign in at the classroom doors, make a nametag for your child and label all possessions. Be sure to share any feeding instructions, allergies, special needs or concerns with the staff. Leave a cell phone or pager number (set on vibrate during church), or request one of our vibrating pagers. At pick-up time, sign out on the same clipboard.
Childcare for Other St. Paul's Events
Childcare for all ages can be scheduled for church meetings and gatherings throughout the week by prior arrangement. The rooms for childcare will vary depending on availability and the ages of the children. Just call the children’s ministries office or complete the childcare reservation form and we will respond with your confirmation.

The spring session of our popular Friday-night program for children 4 months to 5th grade continues with a full schedule of games, crafts, play, snacks and supervised activities from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., all for just $20/child/night ($5/each additional sibling). A light supper is served around 6:30.

Kids Night Out is available for families of St. Paul’s Church and School. Reservations, which are required due to limited space and staff, are accepted for each date up to two weeks in advance. All spaces are often filled by the Wednesday before the date, but a waiting list is usually available. To reserve your child’s place, respond via the website, call Marisa at 713/528-0529 X16, or make a note on your attendance registration card in Sunday worship.
