For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

This Passage from First Corinthians describes the cross as the power of God. It states that those who consider the cross foolish will perish while those who believe will be saved. To believe in the power of the cross is in fact to be saved. The gift of salvation that God has granted us is the greatest thing we have been blessed with. Go forth and know that you are saved by the sacrifice God made for all of us, and most importantly you are loved beyond all measure.

Lord we thank you for the many gifts you have blessed us with, you have granted us salvation by sacrificing your only son, and for that we can not repay you but we give you our never ending thanks. Amen.
