“Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice.” Psalm 130:1

We can all relate to the sentiment being expressed by the psalmist.  Perhaps it is when we have hit the bottom and the world no longer holds the solution to the problem or the relief from pain and worry that we turn hearts to heaven.  While the verse reflects a cry from the depths, it is full of hope and faith that God will hear us.  The truth is that God has never been apart from us, even in the greatest depths of our lives, and our cry opens us to see and experience the abundant grace, peace and love that God offers to us every day.

O, God, thank you for hearing us and offering us your presence each day. Amen.
