“You who are righteous, rejoice in the Lord and be glad! All you whose hearts are right, sing out in joy!” Psalm 32:11
Rejoice in The Lord and be glad, you righteous...
Our friend, Velma Williams (longtime St. Paul’s child care worker) was always joyous, always grateful; grateful and happy sharing the smallest and the largest victories of life and all that life has to offer.
Velma always wanted the best for her family and friends, and being with her you could not help but feel the joy that lived in her heart. Do we live with maximum joy?
Do we ask God to fill us with the joy Velma knew in spite of the suffering and sadness all around?
God asks us to 'be glad'.
O God, give us glad hearts. Amen.
