Like our Namesake, the Apostle Paul, we think of the Christian community as the body of Christ. As with the physical body, when one part suffers, all suffer together, and when one part celebrates, all celebrate together. That's what we try to put into action at St. Paul's.
When we are most honest with ourselves, we know that we are connected as spiritual sisters and brothers and need one another in our journeys of faith.

CanCare
St. Paul's is a supporting member of CanCare, an organization that matches individual cancer patients with a volunteer who has survived the same type of cancer to receive one-on-one positive encouragement and hope from someone who knows first hand what they are going through. Training classes for CanCare volunteers are held periodically throughout the year.
Amazing Place
St. Paul's also is a supporting member of Amazing Place, formerly named The Seniors Place. This is a non-profit memory day care center that provides a safe, spiritual, and nurturing program with therapeutic activities for older adults with mild to moderate memory loss and offers respite, education, and support to their families and the community.
After 13 years of serving the greater Houston area, in the spring of 2009, the Seniors Place announced that it was undergoing a transformation with a new name and new facility. When it opened in the spring of 2010, the new facility had three times more capacity than the previous facility with capabilities of providing services for 135 participants and their families each week.
