Mission & Outreach Grants from St. Paul's Foundation
St. Paul’s Methodist Foundation of Houston is able to provide a very limited number of grants for various mission and outreach projects. Although priority is typically given to projects that are affiliated with or supported by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, any provider of outreach to both the local and the global community is welcome to apply for a grant.
Typically, grants are awarded twice each year (usually in March and in September) and any grant requests that have been received prior to the scheduled meeting are reviewed at that time by our Grant Committee, which is comprised of several members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors who are appointed to serve on the Grant Committee, the Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, and the Foundation’s Executive Director. The Director of Outreach of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church serves on the committee in an advisory capacity. Grants are usually not awarded to the same organization more than once within a calendar year.
Grants are awarded based on the income available from several endowed funds, which are held and managed by St. Paul’s Methodist Foundation of Houston. Funds from which Mission and Outreach Grants are awarded include:
