Motivating kids and teens at home and school can be complex, even challenging. Parents often wonder how they can provide guidance for their kids and implement effective structure for their families.
Join us for “Setting Priorities, Obtaining Goals,” a 2-part presentation by Evan Weinberger, an academic coach, and Angela Koreth, a mental health professional. These presenters have devoted their work to helping families improve relationships, maximize communication, and create a healthy culture of performance.
In Part I on January 27, speakers will address topics related to life at home, such as:
creating healthy positive and negative reinforcement systems
establishing productive habits and routines
setting appropriate TV/gaming rules
identifying and addressing at-risk behaviors
engaging in acceptable parent-child negotiation
knowing when to seek professional help
In Part II on February 24, speakers will address topics related to academics, such as:
setting meaningful academic goals
achieving a healthy, school-life balance
managing school-related stress
understanding the impact of learning differences
supporting your children through successes and failures
being an effective cheerleader (motivator) for your kids
assisting your kids in creating organization and time-management systems
All participants will leave with helpful information, as well as resources to take action immediately. If you cannot join us for both Part I and Part II, come when you can.
