The Youth will lead worship at all three services next Sunday, February 11. Every aspect of the services from the readings and witnesses to ushering will be conducted by youth. The Choral Scholars, normally singing at 9:45, will be joined by the Treble Choir for all three services.
A St. Paul’s tradition for at least 20 years, Youth-led Sunday is one of many ways that St. Paul’s Youth serve throughout the year.
“We ask all youth to participate in some way during one of the services,” said Tiffin Wilsford, Director of Youth Ministries. “Every role is important. They take this responsibility seriously, rehearsing the weekend prior.”
“Leading worship lends a new layer of understanding liturgy and other participation in services,” said Anna Teagarden, Director of Children’s Music (including the Treble Choir).
“The responsibility of serving God and your faith community helps strengthen personal faith. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to ‘renew our covenant to participate faithfully in the ministries of the church.’”
