In commemoration of All Saints Day, Brazilian artist Ibraim Do Nascimento Santos will present a vibrant exhibition deeply rooted in his homeland's history and spiritual memory. Visitors to the gallery will be immersed in the cultural tradition of the Recôncavo region of Brazil—a place where the presence of saints infuses wisdom and whimsy into everyday life.
Inspired by his surname (Portuguese for saints), Santos depicts a series of halo-crested saints whose legendary lives and his community’s identity are intertwined. With exuberant brush strokes in vivid golds, blues, and reds, these portraits enliven the spiritual imagination so formative in Santos’ own experience.
View the exhibition anytime the church is open in the gallery on the first floor of the Sanctuary Building. The exhibition is sponsored by St. Paul’s Diversity Vision Team.
