Cornell's renowned treble choir explores themes of Solitude and Community, as reflected in renaissance motets, folksongs, gospel, world music, and contemporary compositions. A highlight will be their brand new commission from Canadian composer Christine Donkin, capturing one of the last sightings of a possibly extinct bird, the Ivory Billed Woodpecker. The program will conclude as usual with traditional Cornell Songs. Houston marks the third stop of the choir's Gulf Coast Tour.
