The St. Paul’s congregation is invited to attend the ordination service that will include the two ministers recently apointed to St. Paul's --  Rev. Andrew Wolfe and Rev. Paul Richards-Kuan -- and a recent former associate minister here -- Rev. Danny Yang. A highlight of Annual Conference, the service of ordination will be on Tuesday, May 30, at 7 pm at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

Andrew and Paul will be ordained as elders in full connection.

Paul will join St. Paul's staff effective July 1. Currently serving as associate pastor at Holy Covenant UMC in Katy, he will lead St. Paul's new East End Missional Community.

As noted by senior minister Rev. Tommy Williams in his March 19 Pastor's Message, Paul "has lived and served in missional communities before and brings a passion and hard work ethic to help St. Paul's live into our vision to 'embody the city's diversity, inspire faith, and lead change for the common good of all...'" 

Married to the Rev. Karyn Richards-Kuan, who is currently on the St. Paul's staff, he already has participated in several of St. Paul's  mission activities. He is a graduate of Hendrix College in Arkansas and Duke Divinity School.

Andrew will join St. Paul's staff effective September 1. Currently serving as associate pastor at First UMC in Athens, TX, he will lead St. Paul's ministries for Congregational Care and Senior Adults.

As reported in the April 23 Pastor's Message, Andrew said “I look forward to becoming your new associate of congregational care at St. Paul’s UMC. There are certainly a lot of ideas, interests, and opportunities filling my head as I think about pastoral care, caring communities, and a cathedral vision, but I most look forward to getting to know all of you and forming new friendships."

A native of the Bryan/College Station area, after studying philosophy and religion at Clemson University, he also graduated from Duke Divinity School. His wife Amanda will be graduating from nursing school immediately prior to their move to Houston.
