This week, St. Paul's UMC will open its parking lot for those attending Super Bowl festivities. Here's what you need to know!
Q: Should I have a parking permit?
A: We're encouraging all St. Paul's staff, members and visitors to have a parking permit, available at the church's reception desk.
Q: What if I don't have a parking permit?
A: Don't worry! Simply let the parking lot attendant know you are attending an event at the church or day school. You will not have to pay to park.
Q: How can I get my own parking permit?
A: Pick one up at the church's reception desk--we have plenty in stock as a new shipment of parking permits just arrived today!
Q: What do I do with my parking permit?
A: Hang it from your rear-view mirror or display it on your dashboard for ease in entering the parking lot. Please keep your permit handy because we will be opening the parking lot again this spring for those attending the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Q: When will the lot be open for Super Bowl parking?
A: Parking for pre-game festivities will be available Wednesday, February 1 through Saturday, February 4. On Super Bowl Sunday (February 5), the parking attendant will begin letting vehicles park in the lot for paid Super Bowl parking starting at 1 pm.
Q: Will this affect morning worship and/or classes on Super Bowl Sunday?
A: No, not at all. The lot will be solely reserved for St. Paul's UMC members and visitors as usual on Sunday morning for worship and classes. No one will have to pay to park and there should be plenty of parking spots available.
Q: What is the fee to park for the Super Bowl and pre-game festivities?
A: Paid parking for the Super Bowl will be $20/day in St. Paul's lot.
Q: Where will that revenue go?
A: All proceeds will go toward the general budget that undergirds the ministries of St. Paul's.
