The next Iconoclast Session headliners will be performance poets Corinna Delgado and Billie Duncan  -- Thursday, January 26, at 7 pm in Fondren Hall. DJ ILL-Set and Northside High School art students also will be featured.

Corinne Delgado

Corinne Delgado

Born and raised in Anchorage, AK, Delgado is a published author, visual artist, journalist, and broadcaster, currently on air in both Anchorage and Houston. Delgado has written for The Anchorage Daily News, The Anchorage Press, and The Northern Light. With two poetry collections and a writing workbook published under her indie publishing label, RockFish Indie Press, Delgado is set to release her first art book in 2017. She previously was a reporter and anchor for Fox & ABC affiliates in Alaska, but her primary role in broadcast has been as a radio personality. She is presently on air with Movin 105.7 in Anchorage and on 104.1 KRBE in Houston. 

Billie Duncan

Billie Duncan

Duncan is an award-winning poet and author of three books, including Beneath the Desk (acquired by Brown University for inclusion in the Harris Collection of American Poems and Plays). Her chapbook, Requiem for the Plastic Clown, won the Weasel Press Chapbook Competition and will be released Spring 2017. Duncan’s poems also are in numerous anthologies and journals. She is the director of and a performer/writer in The Balcony Poets, a collaborative performance group that melds multi-voice poetry with live music and art inspired by the poetry. She also is communications director of Houston Poetry Fest and coordinator of Houston Poetry Summit.
