The February 9 Primetimers meeting will feature Susan Budge, an award-winning ceramic artist and St. Paul’s member.
In a Lenten workshop last year she guided participants to experience the meditative quality of forming clay and prayer, and she has led other workshops with the Youth.
She has had 31 solo exhibitions and been included in hundreds of invitational/juried exhibitions throughout the United States. She currently is exhibiting at The Nave Museum in Victoria and is scheduled in galleries in Kansas City, Mo, and Houston later this year. Her work also is contained in permanent collections of art museums across the Southwest.
From 1998 until her recent return to Houston she had been head of Ceramics and Art Metals at San Antonio College. She now teaches ceramics at MFAH’s Glassell School of Art.
