Linked through technology, young writers from Houston and Cambridge will take part in a live performance of poetry on Saturday, October 29. Iconoclast poets will gather at St. Paul’s UMC in the Fellers Room from 11 am to 12:30 pm, connecting virtually with students from Cambridge in the UK. Anyone can come sit in and participate or simply listen.

Reflecting the similarities and differences of their lives, hopes and dreams, this transatlantic live reading will bring together young writers from far-flung locales. Founded in 2014 by Dr. Matt Russell and local poet Marlon Lizama, Iconoclast aims to create new friendships and understanding across the divisions of class, culture and ethnicity through poetry writing and performance.
