Start the New Year off on the right foot with a “New Beginnings” walk on the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is a walking meditation. So, with each step, participants are invited to celebrate the joys and acknowledge the hardships of 2015, while setting their intentions in motion for 2016.
The ancient practice of walking the Labyrinth often provided an opportunity for people to “go on pilgrimage” who were not able to physically travel to a sacred site. A walker would slowly move toward the center and then return with a renewed sense of focus about God and sense of personal responsibility in God’s world.
New Year’s is the perfect time for modern walkers to take this sacred journey – and contemplate where God might lead them in the New Year.
Indoor and outdoor Labyrinth spaces will be available for walking prayer following each January 3 worship service.
