The Emergency Aid Coalition’s (EAC) annual distribution of books and backpacks to pre-qualified families will be at South Main Baptist Church, 4100 Main, this year. And most ages can help.

to ensure that everyone is effectively deployed or if you have questions about the event and what may be needed. 

  • Monday, August 3 - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Set up, sort, and organize.
  • Tuesday. August 4 - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Receive uniforms, continue to set up, sort, and organize.
  • Wednesday-Thursday, August 5-6 - 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Distribution Days.
  • Friday, August 7 -9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cleanup Day and return all supplies back to EAC

The EAC has volunteer opportunities throughout the year on site at Abraham Station across from St. Paul’s and also at the Houston Food Bank’s Emergency Food Pantry, 535 Portwall.
