Knowing that forgetfulness can be the first sign of Alzheimer’s disease, it is natural to feel uneasy when forgetting something. Yet, many bouts of memory loss are simply the result of normal aging changes. How can one tell the difference?
Sally S. Davis, RN, MSN, will address this question at the June 12 Salt and Light meeting. She is Health Services Director at Amazing Place, an interfaith ministry that serves adults with early stage memory loss and their caregiving families She previously worked as a research nurse at the UT Health School of Nursing Center on Aging.
In Fondren Hall, the meeting begins with a gathering at 10:30 a.m. followed by the program at 11 a.m. and for those who RSVP by June 10, an $8 lunch will be served. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 713-528-0527. All are invited to attend.
