Observed on December 1 each year, World AIDS Day provides an opportunity for people around the world to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS and to show their compassion and support for those living with the disease.
St. Paul's will hold a World AIDS Day Prayer Vigil at 6 p.m. Monday, December 1.
"Gathering for prayer on this day with others across the world signifies our solidarity with those who have or are suffering with AIDS and for caregivers who offer compassion," said senior minister Rev. Tommy Williams. "We believe Christ is at the side of those in pain and so our vigil is to keep ourselves and the world from forgetting the ones who often suffer silently."
