The photographer half of the Houston Chronicle’s nature column — Kathy Adams Clark — will speak at the January 9 Salt and Light meeting.
A past president of the North American Nature Photography Association, Clark’s photographs may be best known locally from the books and columns that her husband Gary Clark writes.
More widely, her photographs have been on the cover of the Arbor Day Foundation Rainforest calendar, and in the 2013 Sierra Club Engagement calendar and Barnes & Noble’s Irish Countryside calendars. Her work also has been published in Nature’s Best, the New York Times, Birder’s World, Texas Highways, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and Family Fun.
She teaches photography through Leisure Learning and leads photography workshops throughout the world.
Salt and Light gathers at 10:30 a.m., and the program begins at 11 a.m. followed by lunch for those who RSVP by January 7 to firstname.lastname@example.org or 713-528-0527. Due to increased food costs, the lunch price has increased to $8.
Salt and Light is St. Paul’s activity-based group for seniors, though one does not have to be of a certain age or affiliated with St. Paul’s to attend their meetings.
This program is a re-schedule from the previously planned October 2013 meeting.
