In the midst of the hectic secular “Christmas buying season,” St. Paul’s United Methodist Church invites people to pause for a Day of Prayer and walk the Labyrinth as a way of entering more deeply into the spirituality of the Advent Season.
This Day of Prayer, “Come, Let Us Walk in the Light of the Lord,” will be Saturday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The $10 fee will include lunch. The church’s canvas labyrinth will be available inside, and, weather permitting; participants may walk the outdoor labyrinth at the corner of Main and Binz.
For more information or to register, please contact Rev. Gail Williford, Minister of Spiritual Formation, at 713-528-0527 or email@example.com.
The outdoor Labyrinth is available for all to walk at any time, but, from January into May it will be within the construction of the Bankston Green to make the space even more inviting.
At 5501 Main Street, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church worships in the modified English Gothic structure on the corner of Main and Binz/Bissonnet, across from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The church is within one block of both Museum District MetroRail stops, and free parking is available in two lots across Fannin Street from the church.
