Nelson Lecture

The Nelson Lectureship on Interfaith and Ecumenical Solutions for Peace and Justice is an endowed series in memory of Dr. J. Robert Nelson. The first lectures were delivered in 2006 by Dr. Martin Marty, who had been a personal friend of Dr. Nelson's.   

The 2012 Nelson Lectureship will be delivered by the Rev. Dr. Robert Edgar, president of Common Cause. His topic will be "Challenges for America in the Affordable Care Act." A response will be given by David S. Lopez, president and CEO of Harris Health System (formerly Harris County Hospital District).

The lecture will be Friday, October 26, at 7 p.m. in Fondren Hall.
